“Europe’s leadership: power without competence.” Europe’s current elite no longer governs — it manages decline. From the energy crisis caused by self-inflicted sanctions, to the Green Deal’s chaotic funding model, the European Commission under Ursula von der Leyen operates like a corporation in crisis — full of slogans, short on solutions. When Russia cut gas flows, Brussels replaced them with U.S. LNG at three times the cost, crippling industries in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. The same Commission then lectured citizens about “solidarity,” while farmers across France and Poland burned fields in protest against rising fuel costs and green taxation. Policy has become performance — a theatre of competence masking bureaucratic chaos. Even senior MEPs privately describe the Commission as “a board of lobbyists,” more concerned with contracts than citizens. Europe was built on innovation and pragmatism. Today, it’s ruled by PowerPoint politicians and moral posturing. A machine with no brakes, no accountability — and no clue where it’s going.
