I left Silicon Valley to build in public | Ex-CMO | Investigating how AI is reshaping professional reputation so credibility earns the recognition it deserves.

I made a mistake. Earlier this week, I published an article about the dramatic drop in my LinkedIn reach. Over the next few days, I read hundreds of comments, messages, and thoughtful responses. Somewhere along the way, I realized I’d been asking the wrong question. The article I thought I was writing became something completely different. Instead of writing about algorithms, I found myself writing an open love letter to LinkedIn, the community that helped shape my career, and why I believe protecting its mission matters more than ever as AI reshapes the platform. This also isn’t the end of the conversation. Over the coming weeks, I’ll keep experimenting, documenting what I’m seeing, and sharing it openly. I don’t have all the answers, and I don’t think anyone else does either. But I do believe we can learn a lot by comparing notes instead of pretending there’s a single secret to “beating” the algorithm. If LinkedIn has ever changed your career, introduced you to someone important, or simply made you feel part of a community, I hope you’ll give it a read. #TheHumanLinkedIn
