KPO in cooperation with the “Kazservice” Association held the forum titled “The future of the region: development strategy”. The forum was attended by representatives of the WKO Akimat, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "PSA” LLP,  the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Association of Independent Oil Producing and Refining Organizations “PetroMining”, Chevron Direct Investment Fund Ltd., as well “KazMunayGas” JSC and “QazaqGaz” JSC, along with domestic manufacturers. The main objective of the event was to discuss support measures for local suppliers of goods, work, and services, as well as to develop effective mechanisms aimed at increasing the local content value of KPO projects. In his speech, KPO General Director Marco Marsili highlighted the company’s significant achievements in this area. “KPO has been consistently developing its cooperation with Kazakhstani suppliers. The total procurement of goods, work, and services amounted to USD 1.1 billion in 2025. The local content value in it exceeded USD 700 million or totalled 61% of the 2025 total expenditure. Compared to 2024, the procurement of domestically produced goods in 2025 increased by 45%”, he said. The KPO delegation paid visits to several companies, including “Azotnyi Zavod” LLP, “QHSE-Akbarys” LLP and “Jusan Mobile” JSC to learn about the region’s industrial potential. The forum became a platform for developing practical solutions aimed at expanding the involvement of Kazakhstani companies in KPO projects.
