The world is evolving at a faster pace than ever, and there are many circumstances beyond our control. Against this backdrop, leaders have a unique opportunity to not only lead, but also to seize opportunities and rally teams to stay ahead when the ground keeps shifting, said Managing Partner Sze Yeng Lee at our recent Management Group Update (MGU) attended by nearly 900 leaders. Themed 'Never Done Leading’, this session kickstarted our ’Never Done’ MGU series in celebration of KPMG in Singapore’s 85th anniversary. At the session, Sze Yeng emphasised the importance of driving change in an era marked by rapid innovation and technological change, and highlighted that leaders must help to create clarity and momentum amid ongoing disruption. This call to action was also reinforced through a sharing by guest Dr Shu Yin Hoi, Chief Nurse, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Drawing from her own leadership experience, Dr Hoi shared that leaders must create a culture where people feel valued and are empowered to solve problems and grow. These perspectives came together in a panel discussion moderated by KPMG Partner Chris Roberts, featuring Dr Hoi, KPMG ESG Assurance Partner Pamela Fan, and Senior Manager Chun Yang Teo, where they spoke about and learnt from one another how effective leadership is action-oriented and involves being open to challenges, mentoring the next generation and encouraging their teams to share fresh perspectives. Here’s to charting the next journey of growth together and never being done with leading, innovating and growing. #KPMGSingapore #NeverDone #BeInFront
