The organisations that stay ahead today aren’t necessarily moving faster. They’re seeing further. At Day 3 of Read to Lead: Building an AI-Ready Mind — a year-long programme by KPMG and the National Library Board (NLB) that cultivates critical reading and thinking among professionals — Chiu Wu Hong invited enterprise leaders to rethink growth in an AI-driven world. Sharing comprehensively the elements to consider from startup to scale-up, he shared the importance of building for the next stage of growth from day one: developing capabilities and preparing for what’s ahead, instead of what’s only coming at the next stage. Following that, Jia Le Low, Kenny Eng and moderator Mervin Ang joined Wu Hong on a panel discussion to deep dive into how organisations can sustain growth and reinvent themselves. From investing early in people, partnerships and technology, to leading with a founder’s mindset of resilience, adaptability and purpose, the discussion highlighted how anticipating change, alongside the acquisition and application of cross-domain knowledge and experience, constantly made that difference in building lasting success.
