Deutsche Telekom has received authorisation from BaFin to establish a reinsurance captive domiciled in Germany. The licence was granted at the end of March 2026, earlier than originally anticipated. The captive is scheduled to cover property insurance from 1 May 2026, and liability insurance from 1 January 2027. Deutsche Telekom was advised by KPMG throughout the process.
