At KUOS, we see academic libraries as curators and guardians of knowledge, a role that has become even more critical at a time when trustworthy, legitimate knowledge is increasingly rare in the face of rapid AI-driven content production. Libraries are not only relevant; they are truly indispensable. This newly published book chapter, “A Comparative Study on How Academic Libraries Contribute to Sustainability,” explores how academic libraries actively engage with sustainability and the SDGs 🌍 across Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, North Macedonia, and Türkiye, drawing on comparative survey data and shared regional contexts. We are especially proud to see this work led by Koç Üniversitesi Suna Kıraç Kütüphanesi Director Tuba Akbaytürk 👏, together with Nilay Cevher, PhD, Kübra Zayim Gedik, Uğur Bulgan, Ertugrul Cimen, and Üstün Berk Sezgin, as part of the work with the University and Research Libraries Association (URLA ASSOCIATION - UNAK) SDG working group. This publication marks another meaningful step in strengthening the role of academic libraries in sustainability conversations, and in moving them forward 🧭 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dvvwHu3k #AcademicLibraries #Sustainability #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #HigherEducation
