MD, Michiel Molenaar explained that the company were looking to "de-skill" the production process and reduce reliance on individual operator experience. "For pharma clients, the small-print Patient Information Leaflets that are included in medication packs are critical, so this extra level of control has been a real bonus.ā€ KennedySmith's Rapida 106 brings together high-performance sheetfed offset printing, fast makeready, fully automatic plate changing, advanced logistics support and inline PDF-based inspection. In day-to-day production, these capabilities are enabling KennedySmith to streamline workflow, reduce manual handling and support reliable quality assurance across demanding and varied carton applications. So much so that the new press was able to take over the work of two legacy presslines well ahead of schedule.
