35 KILOMETERS OF CONSTRUCTION REALITY Last month, Raphael Straten, Team Lead Bid Management, and Marius Schäfer, Talent Acquisition Specialist, visited a construction site supported by KODIAK GmbH’s Site Management Solutions (SMS) business unit, gaining a closer look at a grid connection project linked to an offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. Both Raphael and Marius are closely involved in our SMS business unit - Raphael through tenders and bid management, Marius through finding the right people for the right projects. The site visit gave them a closer look at what their work supports in practice. On site, they saw the pulling in of a cable conduit, a horizontal directional drilling machine and the welding of cable protection pipes. The visit also included a stop at the substation, viewed from the outside, and a drive along the roughly 35 km long land construction site towards the coast. At the Baltic Sea beach, they observed where the onshore construction site meets the offshore part of the project - including a jack-up barge visible from shore. For Raphael and Marius, the visit was a rare and valuable opportunity to understand the scale and complexity of this type of infrastructure project beyond screens, calls and tender documents. Days like this help us better understand what happens on site, what our teams and specialists are working on and what it takes to move major energy infrastructure forward. They also allow us to speak with more practical insight when engaging with potential clients, partners and candidates. Thank you, Maximilian Fischer and Maximilian Jargow, for taking your time and giving us such a close look at the construction reality behind our projects. #PowerUpWithKODIAK #SiteManagement #OffshoreWind #GridConnection #EnergyInfrastructure #ConstructionSite #BidManagement #TalentAcquisition #ProjectDelivery #SiteVisit Raphael Straten, Marius Schäfer, Maximilian Fischer, Maximilian Jargow, Christoph Pinske, Justus Stöhr, Vinh T., Stephanie H.
