Koda Capital recently brought together a group of philanthropists, impact investors, property developers, financiers and sector leaders for a workshop with Anchor, focused on how innovative financing models could help scale the MyLife program. MyLife supports young people transitioning out of Australia’s out-of-home care system, many of whom have experienced significant trauma and instability. Access to stable housing is critical in creating a genuine pathway to independence and long-term outcomes, and this session was about exploring how capital can play a more effective role. Key themes that emerged included: - New financing models to help unlock social housing supply - Greater cross-sector collaboration between capital, development and service providers - A mix of near-term opportunities and longer-term structural solutions We’re proud to support Anchor as they take these ideas forward. If you work across housing, finance, property or philanthropy and would like to be part of this conversation, we’d welcome the opportunity to connect. #KodaCapital #SocialImpact #ImpactInvesting #Philanthropy #SocialHousing
