PROJECT: We are happy to share some impressions from the lifting of the world’s longest #integral #timberbridge in Mannheim. Last weekend, our Franklin Bridge team spent an exciting night on the closed B38 to follow and document this remarkable moment. What started as a #research #project back in 2013 has now reached a remarkable #milestone. After realizing the very #first #integral #timber bridge in 2019, we are proud to see this pioneering durable bridge type not only replicated but now pushed to new limits. Spanning 45 meters, the new timber bridge between Franklin and Vogelstang is designed for pedestrians and cyclists and will open later this year as a safe school route and to improve connectivity in Mannheim. A big thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible!
