𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀!🤝 Together with master’s students in Information Systems (business informatics) at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, Dr. Jürgen Walther is currently leading an engaging project seminar. The focus: energy consumption data (water, gas, electricity) from a production environment, linked with product formulations and machine settings. Using machine learning and statistical analysis methods, the students explore which factors influence energy usage — and where opportunities lie for more efficient and sustainable processes. 🤖 The findings provide a solid foundation for deeper root-cause analyses and data-driven sustainability initiatives at Knauf. It’s a great example of how young talents can create real impact through applied research.
