An article published by LRT about the history of KN Energies’ Subačius Terminal highlights the remarkable 60-year journey of this strategic facility – from the secretive “P-6478 mailbox” to one of the key pillars of Lithuania’s energy security. 💪🛢️ During the Soviet era, the Subačius Terminal was one of the most secretive facilities in the region. Employees were bound by strict confidentiality requirements, while the terminal itself operated under a coded designation. Today, its mission remains just as important – helping to ensure the country’s resilience and preparedness in a wide range of situations. Over the decades, the terminal has been continuously modernized: infrastructure has been upgraded, advanced safety systems have been implemented, and investments have been made in sustainability and renewable energy. Today, the nearly 40-hectare terminal stores state strategic fuel reserves, provides commercial services, and contributes to the uninterrupted supply of fuel needed by the country. We are proud of the Subačius team, whose professionalism, extensive experience, and dedication help deliver one of KN Energies’ most important missions every day – strengthening Lithuania’s energy security. 👏🇱🇹 🔗 We invite you to read the full LRT article.
