This week is National Biodiversity Week, and we’ve been getting our hands a little dirty to support local wildlife and biodiversity at our Kilbeggan site. 🧤🪴 As part of the initiative, we’ve begun planting unused areas of our new car park with a native wildflower seed mix. The mix includes perennial and annual species such as red campion, wild carrot, self-heal, yellow rattle, and others designed to support pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hoverflies.🐝 These improvements will also benefit local birdlife, including robins, blue tits, sparrows, goldfinches, and other common garden and farmland species by enhancing natural food sources and habitat. In addition, we’ve installed wildlife trail cameras to monitor activity across the site. This will help us better understand how biodiversity develops over time and guide future improvements as we continue expanding our green areas. 🌿 You can explore events and activities taking place across the country during National Biodiversity Week here: https://lnkd.in/eGg3w6pV #BiodiversityWeek #GreenIreland #Pollinators
