AI in welfare depends on more than technology. It depends on making it work in practice. In healthcare and social services, AI supports decisions in complex and regulated environments. That is the context in which Hans Jacob Nymann, Lasse Kajberg, Anette Skotte Wodickh and Simba Perec work every day - where quality, transparency and accountability are essential. As part of the NEC Corporation Group, our ambition is clear: to turn advanced AI into solutions that strengthen everyday work in the public sector. Building on this our team recently hosted a workshop, joining forces with Dr. Carolin Lawrence, Dr. Timo Sztyler and Dr. Chia-Chien H. from NEC’s European AI Technology Hub – NEC Laboratories Europe. The conversations focused on how to create better decision support, free up time for core tasks, and build solutions that professionals can explain, trust, and take responsibility for. “Working closely with NEC gives us access to some of the most advanced AI research available. Our role is to translate that into solutions that create real value for our customers – and to bring those insights into our advisory work. We look forward to continuing that dialogue with our AI Advisory Board in May,” says Hans Jacob Nymann, Business Development Manager, KMD By combining global research from NEC with deep knowledge of the Danish public sector, we work to close the gap between what is technically possible and what can actually be used - in ways that strengthen services for both customers and society.
