Does your organization already work according to 𝗜𝗦𝗢 𝟵𝟬𝟬𝟭 and are you preparing for defense or NATO assignments? Then 𝗔𝗤𝗔𝗣 is likely an important next step. ISO 9001 provides a strong foundation for AQAP, but defense projects come with additional requirements. These include a project-specific quality plan, stricter traceability, configuration management, risk management and more intensive supplier management. Defense authorities or NATO may also be directly involved in audits, inspections and acceptance processes. For organizations with ISO 9001 certification, this usually does not mean that an entirely new management system is needed. However, AQAP does require targeted expansion and tightening of existing processes.
