Historian Daniel Jütte has been awarded an Alexander von Humboldt Professorship for 2027 and will join the #KITKarlsruhe. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation announced the decision on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. With Jütte’s appointment, KIT is strengthening its approach to integrative and practice-oriented urban research. Starting in 2027, the leading researcher—who currently teaches at New York University—will establish the “Urban Humanities Lab” at KIT. It combines perspectives from the humanities and social sciences with issues in urban planning, architecture, and the built environment. Photo: private
