A year ago, I chose to clip my wings and step away from the skies after six incredible years with Singapore Airlines — a career I once believed I would pursue for the rest of my life. Thank you, Joseph Ganapathy. It was a privilege to be under your wings. Thank you for your mentorship, support, and for always looking out for me. It wasn’t an easy decision. Leaving behind something that had become part of my identity, something I had dreamed about since childhood. Takes more than logic but courage.. Looking back today, I have nothing but gratitude for taking that leap of faith. I’m thankful for my courage and curiosity, for pushing myself to take that first step into the unknown. The journey of change was never linear. Some days, I questioned leaving such a familiar and comfortable environment; other days, I was rewarded with a sense of fulfillment I had never felt before. Change was never easy, but it was necessary. To anyone standing at the edge of change, where uncertainty, hesitation, and fear quietly creep in — know that these feelings are all part of the process. Trust the journey. Sometimes growth doesn’t come from holding on; it comes from having the courage to take on new journey. One year later, I can say this with certainty: the risk you’re afraid to take today may very well become the decision you’re most proud of tomorrow. A heartfelt thank you to Marina Bay Sands and Tao Group Hospitality for giving me the platform to grow, learn, and shine.
