As a proud Western Michigan University alum, goalie, and hockey coach, this one hits home. Seeing Brandon Bussi represent WMU on the big stage is awesome by itself — but hearing his message makes it even better: “I didn't let anybody tell me no. If there was some adversity, I took it head on and tried to figure it out and get better from it. Never give up, always have fun, keep your head down.” That is exactly the kind of mindset we try to teach young players. Talent matters, but so does resilience. So does handling adversity. So does continuing to work when the answer is no, when things do not go your way, or when the path is not easy. As a coach, those are the lessons that stick with kids far beyond the rink. Proud to see a fellow Bronco and goalie representing Western Michigan the right way. Once a Bronco, always a Bronco. 🐴🏒 #WMU #WesternMichiganUniversity #WMUHockey #Broncos #Hockey #Goaltending #YouthHockey #Coaching #NeverGiveUp
