This is a very relevant explanation. In my case, a Meta account restriction has been under appeal for an extended period, with no clear confirmation that the platform has shared the full case file or content for review. This raises an important question about how often default decisions are triggered simply because platforms fail to engage meaningfully in the process. From a user perspective, clarity and timely cooperation by platforms seem essential for the DSA’s dispute resolution mechanisms to work as intended. I’d be interested to hear how often this occurs in practice and what users can realistically expect when platforms remain silent.
