Very interesting interaction with Mr. Manoj Elanjickal from H&R Block with the students of SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Hyderabad on ‘Career Crafting in Human Resource Management.' It started with an emphasis on the fact that although technology may change the way we work, people, not machines, are an organization's best asset. This was elucidated through the Complete Staff Work Model. A mention was made about H&R Block’s 5-year plan based on the Block Horizon 2025 along with its Ambitions, Imperatives, and Enablers. On an ending note, Mr. Manoj also gave us an appropriate example of proper management in the Pit-Stop of a Formula One race, where people come together, use technology and coordination to achieve perfect management, in order to attain the common objective of winning the race. In short, he advised us to think like a CEO, carry a legacy, strives for humility, and choose unbiased business partners. Thank you Mr. Manoj Elanjickal for joining and deep-diving into the world of HR and Management with us.
