🛑 Today we learned that COA's #AI pilot #GeoMatch will be terminated early (a year earlier than originally planned for September 2027). GeoMatch was developed by IPL to support Centraal Orgaan opvang asielzoekers (COA)'s decisions on where newcomers are settled after receiving asylum status in the Netherlands. We recently carried out an in-depth investigation into the system and argued for its immediate halt until serious risks regarding discrimination and fairness are resolved.
