Kildare marked the beginning of Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union with a flag-raising ceremony at Áras Chill Dara, Naas. Hosted by Cathaoirleach Cllr Tim Durkan, the ceremony celebrated Ireland’s eighth EU Presidency and highlighted Kildare’s connection with Austria through the EU Presidency County Pairings initiative. The occasion was a reminder of the importance of cooperation, shared values and partnership across Europe.
