Kiewit is proud to be part of the American-led consortium selected by the California High-Speed Rail Authority to install electrified track and systems for the nation’s first true high-speed rail system. Together with Stacy Witbeck and Herzog, our team will help deliver the track, overhead contact system, train control and communications infrastructure needed to transform 119 miles of Central Valley guideway into an electrified high-speed rail system capable of speeds up to 220 mph. This milestone marks an important transition from major civil construction to railway installation, and another step forward for one of the most significant transportation infrastructure programs in North America.
