A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed on March 25, 2026 at the UKSH Executive Board building between the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), the Faculty of Medicine at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, and the Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein. The agreement further strengthens the long-standing collaboration, particularly in the fields of clinical molecular biology and chronic inflammation research. The signing was accompanied by a multi-day visit program: Led by the Rector of LSMU, Prof. Dr. Rimantas Benetis, the Lithuanian delegation gained in-depth insights into current research priorities, key research infrastructures, and ongoing construction and development projects at the Faculty of Medicine. #ConnectingHorizons #PMI Photo from left to right: Peter Pansegrau, CFO of UKSH, Prof. Dr. Jens Scholz, Chairman of the Board (CEO) of UKSH, Prof. Dr. Rimantas Benetis, Rector of LSMU, Prof. Dr. Joachim Thiery, Dean of the Medical Faculty of Kiel University as Board Member for Research and Teaching at UKSH, Prof. Dr. Ralph Schneider, Vice-President for Internationalisation at Kiel University and Prof. Juozas Kupčinskas, Vice Rector for Research at LSMU. 📸 Christin Beeck, Uni Kiel
