Full house in Kiel today and tomorrow as we are proud to host the joint international conference of the German Economic Association Standing Field Committee for Development Economics (GDE, Verein für Socialpolitik e.V. ) and the European Development Economics Group (EDEG). We kicked off the event with the keynote by Abhijeet Singh (Stockholm School of Economics) on “Responding to the learning crisis: Education reforms for systemlevel change”, setting the tone for a packed and inspiring program ahead. Including tomorrow's keynote by Eliana La Ferrara (Harvard Kennedy School) on“Pathways of norm change: Theory and evidence from Africa“. This annual conference brings together an international community of scholars and researchers in development economics and related fields. Across two intensive days, the program features plenary sessions with keynote lectures, parallel sessions presenting cutting-edge research, and poster sessions showcasing emerging work. Together, they reflect the current state of research in development economics and provide a vibrant forum for exchange between researchers and practitioners. The conference also features award ceremonies for the EDEG Best Paper Award for young researchers and the KfW Award for practice-oriented development research. We gratefully acknowledge the support of KfW. Tessa Bold, Isabel Guenther, Tobias Heidland, Krisztina Kis-Katos, Andreas Landmann, Jann Lay, Sabine Liebenehm, Matthias Schündeln, Rainer Thiele
