Social-First Creative Strategy, Creative Direction, and Art Direction

This is my favorite trend in a looong time! Artistry where you can actually *feel* a human is behind it is smart in two ways: 1. Like Emily says, it's refreshing in a sea of polished or AI generated content. Marketing has always been about standing out, but it's harder to do when the hottest tools are all about churning out the average of your inspo. 2. It makes me think of Rachel Karten's on-ramp concept. Human art has so many more touch points to bring people into your story – about the artist, process documentation, the drafts on the cutting room floor, voiceover of the how and why etc. There's a whole story behind the finished piece. Plus, you have the goodwill of that artist's own audience. We're seeing brands rewarded for effort – in a time where it seems like anything can be made in a snap, taking time, care, and craft to make something happen is a luxury that earns attention.
