𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲. I always make it a point to ensure that every pupil invites their close friends, family members, and colleagues to celebrate this important milestone with them. Within the firm, I make it compulsory for team members to attend their colleague’s long call. We then follow up with a lunch after the official court ceremony. During this lunch, the person being called is celebrated, and those who have worked closely with them during the nine months of pupillage will share their experiences and stories.
