𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 I am a free-thinking Christian businessman. That means I choose which rules apply to me .....and sometimes, to others. It means I interpret Scripture not as it is written, but as it suits me. The Bible says to give ten percent in tithes. I read that as ten percent of whatever remains after rent, bills, car payments, and indulgence.  God gets what’s left….if there’s anything left. God gave me the Internet.  So I take it as His blessing to attend church through YouTube, worship through Wi-Fi, and supporting Him by clicking “like”. I do nothing when God judge others harshly, but when it comes to my business, I ask Him to understand that I had no choice. I hope God sees the reasons I had to bend His rules….. for the good of others, of course. Not for myself. Never for myself. And if it wasn’t justified? I pray for forgiveness. Then I wake up and inadvertently do it again the next day. I turn to prayer as if it were the most powerful tool God gave me. Then I ignore the hands He gave me to act on what I pray for. I say money is the root of all evil. Still, I sleep better when my wallet is full. Between eternal fire and temporary gratification, I sometimes choose the fire. I believe I’m not alone. There are many like me. Free-thinking-so-called-God-fearing men doing business with conflicted hearts. I wish that Heaven’s gate weren’t as narrow as Scripture says. After all, I am just a human trying to do the least awful things possible. If Hell has a space for men like me, I hope to be placed one level above the hypocrites. 𝑷.𝑺.
