𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐚 freaking 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨! The name you provide could be either male or female.  You don’t even provide your pronouns. Do you really think your sex doesn’t matter to an employer’s consideration? It’s not always about who’s “the best” on paper. Sometimes we just need diversity. If the team are already all one gender, maybe adding another of the same will prevent disharmony, or adding another of the opposite will bring a a fresh perspective? Sometimes we need masculine energy. Sometimes we need a feminine touch. Specific jobs call for one or the other. Sure… I get it.  Some females may exhibit masculine or fatherly energy, while some males may display feminine or motherly side. You will be unfairly overlooked. But here’s the problem: not every employer has the luxury of time to sit around “discovering” that hidden side of you. Like it or not, stereotyping helps make decisions faster or more accurately. 𝐒𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐞, 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞. 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭. Now. Change “sex” to “looks” in the above. The same logic applies.
