🎙️ New CiviPod Episode: Brooke Huckaby What happens when a young person decides not to leave their hometown—but to lead it? In Episode 5 of CiviPod, I sat down with Mayor Brooke Huckaby Wilson of Arabi, Georgia, who was elected mayor at just 20 years old. We discussed: 🏛️ Leadership and public service 🌾 The future of agriculture and rural America 📱 Gen Z, civic engagement, and social media 🤝 Community, responsibility, and servant leadership 🏘️ Why small towns still matter One insight that stood out to me: “If you don’t care, then you don’t have a right to complain.” Whether you agree or disagree, it raises an important question about civic participation and our role in shaping our communities. A huge thank you to Mayor Huckaby-Wilson for taking the time to share her story and perspective. As a high school student, one of the most rewarding parts of hosting CiviPod has been learning directly from leaders who are serving their communities and helping me better understand how the real world works. 🎧 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/efzrZTN9 #CiviPod #CiviCraft #Leadership #CivicEngagement #PublicService #YouthLeadership #LocalGovernment #Agriculture #CommunityLeadership
