π’ Happy to share our recent publication in J Environmental Chemical Engineering addressing "Approaches to reduce ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions during cattle slurry storage".Azadeh Dabiri, Katerina Theodoridou, PhD Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute Key messages are: π Leca and biochar reduced NHβ emission by 83% and 40% respectively, but increased NβO. π GasAbate lowered NHβ emissions by 18% and CHβ by 48%. π High-rate aeration reduced NHβ by 8.9% and CHβ by 9.4% than low-rate aeration. π GasAbate exhibited the lowest global warming potential followed by Leca and aeration https://lnkd.in/erHaYzV8
