A rewarding and varied week in The Netherlands……. Ecowende understands something many organisations overlook: workshops and training are only the starting point of a mature culture. The real work happens afterwards — helping people embed new ideas on the frontline so they don’t slip back into old defaults when the pressure rises. This trip focused on exactly that. Onshore, inside one the historic forts off the port of IJmuiden, I supported Londeka Maloka, Dominique van Oosterom, and Scott Jardine, MSc as they delivered messaging and provoked meaningful conversations around managing risk and maintaining cultural state — especially as fatigue and complacency risks naturally increase. Offshore, we spent time with teams demonstrating care, exploring how to assess dynamic risks collectively, and keeping a close eye on ecological aspirations. Whether on deck, turbine foundation or within the walls of the fort, the theme was the same: How do we stay intentional when conditions shift? Couldn’t have asked for a better day or better people to do it with😎 See you again next week……..
