Your Organization Won’t Outperform Its Leadership | Executive Coach & Trainer | Helping Organizations and Athletic Programs Develop Leaders and Build Cultures That Win Through People

If your leadership ended today, would the future be brighter because you were there? One of my goals throughout my corporate career was simple. Leave every organization—and every person—better than I found them. Leadership was never meant to create dependence. It was meant to create capability. This week we've talked about vision: believing before seeing, setting direction, communicating it consistently, and helping others discover their potential. But perhaps the greatest responsibility of a leader is helping people develop a vision for their own future. When people understand where the organization is headed, they contribute. When they discover a vision for their own lives, they become committed. As Helen Keller wisely observed: "The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision." As Vision Week comes to a close, I'll leave you with one question: If your leadership ended today, would the future be brighter because you were there? #Leadership #Vision #LeadershipDevelopment
