Bio: Melih Doğankaya is a Software Architect with nearly a decade of experience building and modernizing enterprise-grade systems across some of Turkey's most prominent companies. Starting his career as a Software Engineer in mobile and web development, he has since worked across Coca-Cola İçecek, METRO/MAKRO Cash & Carry, KoçSistem, and Ford Otosan — accumulating deep expertise in microservices, cloud architecture, and large-scale system integration along the way. As Senior Software Architect at Ford Otosan, Doğankaya leads the architectural modernization of enterprise platforms serving dealer, service, and vehicle management ecosystems — driving the migration from legacy .NET frameworks to .NET 10, designing microservices architecture on Azure, and defining SOA and API standards across multiple development teams. He also builds and optimizes CI/CD pipelines and mentors teams on clean architecture, SOLID principles, and cloud-native design patterns. In this episode, we sit down with Melih Doğankaya to explore his journey from software engineer to enterprise architect, the realities of modernizing large-scale legacy systems, and his advice for developers looking to grow into architecture roles in Türkiye. - Watch our other broadcasts: https://lnkd.in/d_u-uJKa Watch Career Talks clips: https://lnkd.in/divHqdqy To get Career Talks reminders: https://lnkd.in/dfGRudDP Follow us on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/duDFBnGM About As Crossing Paths, our goal is to inspire young people from Turkey and support their career development by organizing projects and events in the areas of education and social responsibility.
