Survivor. Strategist. Living Artwork. | Award-Winning Human Rights Activist | I Paint for Freedom | Global Citizen and Speaker Using Art, Advocacy & Neuroscience to Disrupt Slavery + Heal the World from Traumas Impacts

Regret not being able to attend the High Level Global Meeting on Human Trafficking at the UN General Assembly last week. My health was been UP + DOWN. Trauma slows down detox pathways and I am rebounding for complex trauma healing. When I spoke at the UN General Assembly and gifted my painting titled "Survivor Voices Lead the Way," four years ago, I did not have an autoimmune disease or trauma related illnesses. This year is different, autoimmune disease, lack of oxygen in my brain, near anaphylactic episodes. I've stayed quiet this year and have been doing research on my own biology and the longterm biological impacts of my own slavery in my "Freedom Lab." I've gotten advanced brain images that show damage from assaults during my trafficking, gut testing, gene testing, and advanced alternative testing to not just heal but do lived experience research on the biological impacts of human trafficking. This is why when I spoke last year at UN Geneva (Thank you Michel Veuthey) I talked about a call to action with the World Health Organization to take part in this dialogue. We live in a time of biohacking and survivors not only need resources for basic social re-integration but for changing their own biology, they need access to biological justice so that they can live out the rest of their lives, breathe freely and continue to have the very voices that can and WILL change global policy to ensure freedom for all. A lot of people have taken time to meet me this last year and I want to thank Omar Rutledge for meeting with me about your research out of MIT on advanced imaging of brains of people who are impacted by complex trauma, George Vradenburg from Davos Alzheimer's Collective for taking time to explore traumas impact on the development of Alzheimer's, Hans Holborn from OxyHealth, LLC for educating me about HBOT's ability to heal the human brain from traumas impacts, and Shai Efrati, MD Director of the Sagol Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Research for taking time to share about your research on oxygen therapy for trauma impacted brains and Joost Kooijmans from World Bank for meeting me about a dream I have to create an artwork for impact. My work has certainly evolved joining art and biology in my studio space. Congratulations to everyone that attended and supported the recent UN Global meeting on Human Trafficking last week. Thank you ilias Chatzis for all you continue to do to prevent human trafficking. It was nice to see you take the stage this year! It was nice to see Malaika Oringo Human Trafficking Expert in NYC on the ground at UN doing what she does best and alongside our colleague Heather Wokusch who continues to be a incredible advocate for us both and for many survivors around the globe. Lastly, grateful Kari Johnstone and OSCE were also in attendance. #UN #Humantrafficking #OSCE #Trauma #PTSD #Biohacking #Rebounding #Detox #Autoimmune #mastcell #brain #health #HBOT #art #science #biology #humanrights #community #solutions #greatful
