imec is one of Europe's most influential technology organisations. Yet outside the semiconductor industry, many people have never heard of it. That is remarkable. Because long before new technologies reach the market, many of them pass through research environments like imec. From advanced semiconductors and integrated photonics to AI hardware and advanced packaging, the organisation plays a central role in helping transform scientific discoveries into industrial capabilities. Its influence extends far beyond Belgium. Technology companies, researchers and industry leaders from around the world collaborate with imec to explore technologies that may shape the next generation of digital infrastructure.
