“Employers cannot afford to ignore the reality that millions of women are navigating health challenges that affect their experience at work every single day.” – Paula Bellostas Muguerza, partner and global healthcare and life sciences lead at Kearney At #WHA79, we had the pleasure of joining the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)-led Coalition for Reproductive Justice in Business event centered on advancing women’s health in the workplace. We started the session with a keynote speech from Outi Kuivasniemi, deputy director for international affairs at Finland’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and Olivia Wigzell, director of Sweden’s Public Health Agency. Mariaosa Cutillo then moderated a panel with industry leaders Elena Bonfiglioli, Peggy Diby, Sofiat Akinola, Daniella Foster, and Sabina Reggioli about the life stages reflecting the challenges women face at different points and the solutions that can be provided through the workplace. For an impactful close to the day, we also released our [w]Health Employer Index, launched in collaboration with UNFPA and Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, which provides industry-specific insights about women's health in the workplace.
