At KBC, innovation doesn’t happen overnight: it’s built over years, shaped by people who dare to look ahead. One of those people is Erik Luts. Erik has been closely involved in so many innovations we have brought to the market often as the driving force behind it, from concept to implementation. He has helped lay the foundations on which we continue to build today and on 1 September, that next chapter begins. Kris Vervaet will take on the role of Group CIO and member of the Executive Committee, subject to regulatory approval. Together with our strongly engaged Team Blue, Kris looks ahead to further strengthening KBC’s position as a digital frontrunner, building on the trust, coaching and support he has received over the past two years to be ready for what’s next.
