Shymkent–Baku: AZAL Launches New Flights, KMG-Aero to Provide Aircraft Refueling Services KazMunayGas-Aero and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) have signed an agreement to provide "into plane" aircraft refueling services at Shymkent International Airport. Starting June 16, 2026, AZAL will launch regular passenger flights on the Shymkent – Baku route. Flights will operate twice a week — on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Within the framework of cooperation, KMG's subsidiary, KazMunayGas-Aero, will provide refueling of the airline's aircraft in accordance with international safety, quality, and operational reliability standards. The expansion of cooperation with leading international airlines confirms KMG-Aero's position as one of the key aviation fuel operators in Kazakhstan, ensuring uninterrupted service for airlines at the country's airports. The measures being implemented are part of a consistent effort to carry out the directives of the Head of State, aimed at developing the transport and logistics potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan, enhancing the competitiveness of domestic airports, and creating favorable conditions for attracting foreign airlines.
