There was no roadmap, no legacy and no safety net- just determination, hard-work, and the quiet belief that it was possible. As a first-generation immigrant who grew up in the UK, navigating medical school at a world-class institution like UCL felt both rewarding and daunting at the same time. But every challenge has made this moment more meaningful. Earning my MBBS is more than a personal achievement- it’s a symbol of the sacrifices my family made, and a reminder that potential shouldn’t be limited by background.
