Look before you shop. Same message, seventy years apart. Hans Schleger's day job was making the London Underground less confusing. This poster was something else entirely: an ad for design itself, made for a government-backed shop called The Design Centre, telling 1950s Britain to look before it bought. A designer advocating for design literacy is a strange, slightly funny brief, and I don't think it's aged out of relevance. Animating it seventy years later for the same reason - to get people to actually look - felt like a fitting way to bring it back. Here is some behind-the-scenes.
