Ever wondered what happens when academics step into the world of consulting? 🤔 Our new article, "From Dark Alleys into the University Light: Dilemmas of Academic Consulting," just published online first in the Journal of Management Studies, dives into these fascinating dilemmas! 🎉 This journey began with a lively conversation at the Academy of Management conference that refused to let go and I’m glad it continued! A heartfelt thank you to my brilliant co-authors Rouven Kanitz and Hannes Leroy for their dedication, insight, and collaboration throughout this project. Also, shoutout to our thoughtful editors April Wright, Thomas Roulet, and Dimitrios Georgakakis and many colleagues and discussion partners who gracefully shared their reflections with us (see comments for the full list)! Every discussion pushed our thinking further and fueled countless debates—now we’re eager to share this conversation with all of you. Curious?
