Well… this week escalated quickly 🥹 On Monday, Dylan had his transition day at Exmouth Community College (which he loved!) On Tuesday, he was London bound on his school trip. Apparently, we’ve skipped straight past “little boy” and landed firmly in “independent young man.” I’m not entirely sure when that happened but truth be told it has been happening for a while… One minute I was tying shoelaces and packing lunchboxes, and the next he’s slinging a backpack over his shoulder, giving me a thumbs up, and heading off on adventures without a second thought just a train ticket in hand - and a tube of Pringles ! This is such a big new chapter for him… and, if I’m honest, for me too. Am I ready? Absolutely not. Is he? Without a doubt. So I’ll do what Mums (and Dads) have always done—stand on the sidelines, smile, wave, tell him to have the best time, and then quietly wonder how on earth time has gone so fast 💥 Here’s to new schools, new adventures, growing confidence, and learning to let them spread their wings… even when your heart wants to keep them little just a bit longer 💙🇬🇧✨ I’m off on a road trip too this morning, any guesses where I’m heading……??
