Celebration of the Senses Day, observed on June 24, honors Helen Keller’s remarkable abilities despite being deaf and blind. This day also highlights the sense of balance and common sense. Charles Blondin, a legendary tightrope walker, showcased extraordinary balance in his daring feats across Niagara Falls, from flips and somersaults to cooking an omelet mid-air. Yet, he performed without safety nets, raising the question: calculated risk or foolhardy luck? Reflect on risks you’ve taken—what paid off, what didn’t?
