Crisis Management | Resilience | Complex Program Management
Earlier this week, I started a new role leading regional resilience at the Greater Houston Partnership. I have long felt a pull to contribute to my community in a meaningful way. I come by it honestly - I'm the product of two career Navy officers and educational institutions (The Madeira School, Georgetown University) who firmly instilled the belief that our skills and talents are gifts we bring to the world. To this role I bring the experience gained through 16 years at PwC and McKinsey - working with and learning from organizations of all shapes and sizes during their most trying times - and guidance and brain-trust level thinking from some of the best mentors and practitioners around (David Stainback, Marissa Michel). "Where are you from" has always been a tough question for me to answer (see: Navy parents). But my kids won't have that challenge. Born in D.C., they will be raised as Houstonians. As such, working alongside Houston's private, public, and social sector leaders and academic experts to make Houston the most resilient coastal city in the world is personal. Iโm proud to have this opportunity, and look forward to the learning, collaboration, and partnership ahead.
