I’m always awed by the connections that Durham and its collegiate system creates. This photo shows one of our students, Jonathan Mullett who graduated today. His college mentor, Robin attended the ceremony to watch him graduate. Robin is 95 and has been a college mentor in the Durham collegiate system for over 40 years - 21 of those at St Mary's College, Durham University. Next year his final mentee will graduate. Robin always attends the graduation ceremony of every student he mentors. His commitment to supporting students during their time at Durham is unparalleled. He doesn’t do this for money or networking or recognition, but because he genuinely invests his time and attention.
