My creative partner back then, Andy Wyeth, and I met Stefan Schmidt and Kurt Georg Dieckert right after landing in Berlin. It was all thanks to our first gig at TBWA\New Zealand, working under Andy Blood, who made the introduction to Stefan. It was our first „business lunch“ in Germany and we went to Monsieur Vuong. Andy and I immediately fell for Stefan’s creative mind and his kindness. His work is pushing boundaries. He is a brave creative who mixes brand strategy with cultural impact and is comfortable with socially relevant themes. Over the two years we lived in Berlin, Monsieur Vuong became our all-time favourite restaurant. Since then, it’s been non-negotiable. Every visit to the city starts or ends there and we fondly think about our humble beginnings back when we met Stefan. Although we never worked at the same agency, I’ve always followed his path. So I was genuinely stoked to see him found Straight, Forward & Partners and now to be able to convince him in taking part in this interview series. Thank you, Stefan!
