💚 From commitment to action: Tomorrow's Green & Equitable Hospital For over 20 years, Karolinska University Hospital has worked in line with the ISO standard for environmental management. This reflects a long-term commitment to reducing healthcare's climate impact while advancing more equitable care. Last week, that commitment took centre stage when the one-day conference "Tomorrow's Green & Equitable Hospital" took place at Karolinska University Hospital, bringing together international experts from clinical practice, research, and policy. 🌍 At a time when healthcare accounts for 4.4% of global emissions, the need to act and collaborate has never been clearer. As one of our panelists put it: "We all have the same problems, and we need to come together." The day explored how to build greener healthcare systems through circularity, data and AI-driven solutions, and how reducing unnecessary care through the Choosing Wisely framework improves both patient outcomes and our environmental footprint. Voices from Karolinska Institutet, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Erasmus MC, Greater Paris University Hospitals - AP-HP, the Capital Region of Denmark and more reflected a shared ambition to accelerate the transition to more sustainable healthcare. A huge thank you to all speakers, participants, and everyone who contributed to making the day such a success. The energy and commitment in the room was truly inspiring. 📖 Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/dT3KJ-Fk Hear directly from three of our speakers in the short film below.
