🩸 What if a life could be saved by one hour of your time? Every few seconds, somewhere in the world, a patient needs blood. For emergency surgeries. After serious accidents. During cancer treatment. In childbirth. And unlike many other medical resources, blood cannot be manufactured. It cannot be engineered. It cannot be replaced. It can only be donated. That is why #WorldBloodDonorDay matters. As a company dedicated to advancing patient care, we know that successful treatment depends on many factors: skilled #HealthCare professionals, innovative technologies, and the availability of essential resources when they are needed most. Blood is one of them. A single donation can help save up to three lives. And hospitals around the world continue to rely on the commitment of volunteer donors every single day. Across #TeamKARLSTORZ, our colleagues are playing their part. Earlier this year, our team in France rolled up their sleeves to organize a local blood donation initiative, welcoming not only our employees but also those from neighboring companies to participate and donate. And in September, 150 employees at our headquarters in Germany will once again participate in our bi-annual blood donation campaign with the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz. These efforts may seem small. But for the patient waiting for surgery, the accident victim in the emergency room, or the person undergoing treatment, they can mean everything. Today, we thank everyone who already donates blood.
